[Spoiler] Finally Returns To General Hospital & Has a Secret Goal

A highly anticipated character makes her return to General Hospital with a secret plan. She was last seen in a psychiatric facility after Cullum subjected her to a traumatic experience. In a recent episode, the character is shown talking with her therapist; however, something seems to be brewing behind the scenes.

Finola Hughes’ Anna Devane is back on General Hospital

Anna Devane, played by Finola Hughes, returns to General Hospital. She was last seen in February in a psychiatric facility after Cullum put her through a traumatic experience. Cullum didn’t want Anna to interfere with the progress of his and Sidwell’s fusion project, linked to Cesar Faison. He drugged Anna and placed her in a high-security facility before Willow moved her to a less restrictive institution.

Previously, Anna strongly believed that Cesar Faison was behind her abduction, but sadly, no one believed her. At present, now even she appears to have come to terms with the fact that Faison’s kidnapping her is not possible, given he is dead. She admits this reality during her session with Dr. Laurent at the French hospital.

She reveals to her therapist that returning to the WSB and attempting to interfere in a project connected to Cesar Faison made her relive years of trauma. As a result, it blurred the line between reality and her fears. However, she acknowledges that therapy has helped her make progress. She then puts forward a request to Laurent, asking if she could speak to someone who knew Faison to help her recovery. The therapist dials Felicia, who is happy to talk to Anna.

Anna gives Felicia a positive update on her condition before asking if she could visit France, as it could be of great help in her recovery. Felicia agrees to fly to France. Before leaving, Laurent tells Anna that there is still more progress to be made. Later, Anna pulls out a packet of letters from a bedside table and picks one. She stares at the envelope and then the door, hinting that she may be quietly plotting something.
