DC’s Other Upcoming Green Lantern Series Gets Good & Bad Release Update

An upcoming Green Lantern series recently received a major release date update. In an interview, the creatives offered a mixed response, confirming it was in production while expressing uncertainty about its premiere timeframe.

My Adventures With Green Lantern’s release date gets update with production status

Jake Wyatt and Brendan Clogher, the showrunners of My Adventures with Superman, recently revealed that the Green Lantern spin-off series is in production. However, they admitted they didn’t know when it would be released. Furthermore, the duo revealed that they had to address one major factor affecting it: distribution.

Speaking with Screenrant, Wyatt said, “It’s still in production, and we still are not sure when it’s coming out. We’ve got to figure out how the show is going to be distributed.”

He continued, “We’re in production, we’re making it, and we’re not in danger of being done before we have distribution.” Wyatt further stressed that they had to decide “the best way” to bring My Adventures with Green Lantern to fans in 2027, 2028, or whenever possible.

Jessica Cruz, who will headline the upcoming Green Lantern series, recently made her debut in My Adventures with Superman. She appeared in Season 3 Episode 2, “Mobile Suit Toyman,” voiced by Auli’i Cravalho, who previously voiced the title character in Disney’s Moana series.

Also in the interview, Wyatt revealed whether fellow Green Lantern, Simon Baz, would appear. He confirmed that the character won’t show up, emphasizing, “His adventure is so specific to him.” He continued, “I think about it, but he’s very much the main character of his adventure, and you can only fit so much main character into 10 episodes at a time. Right now, we’re doing Jessica’s story.”

However, Clogher hinted that it might be possible if they got to make more seasons, and Wyatt agreed.

My Adventures with Green Lantern was first confirmed in February 2025. Stephanie Gonzaga will executive produce with Wyatt. In the show, Jessica becomes a Green Lantern after a power ring falls from the sky and chooses her as “its champion.”
