The popular interactive children’s series on Netflix has recently released its 13th season on March 2, 2026. According to a 2024 report by The Hollywood Reporter, the show has enough episodes produced to last till 2027. With each season typically releasing around six episodes, it is expected that Season 14 will return later this year in the summer. However, Netflix has not announced an official release date for the upcoming season.
Netflix had reportedly placed a 100-episode order for the show, which was filmed at Brooklyn’s Windmill Studios. Laila Lockhart Kraner, who plays Gabby in the show, had turned 16 shortly after the filming wrapped.
Reflecting on the final days of shooting, Alden Ford, who helmed Gabby’s live-action sequences, recalled, “We were all sobbing. It felt like a natural ending point and a big milestone. And it also was just seeing Laila get older, and seeing her slowly and subtly change in the way she approaches the character. This 15-year-old kid who’s, like, so much wiser than all of us.”
Additionally, creators Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey have teased more future installments after the 100th episode. “The audience is growing up with Laila, and Laila’s growing up with the audience,” Johnson said. “We want to take advantage of that connection and keep it going. And we still have a lot of stories to tell,” she added.
Produced by DreamWorks Animation Television, Gabby’s Dollhouse first premiered in January 2021. It follows the adventures of the titular young girl and her cat friends inside their animated dollhouse. In addition to Lockhart Kraner, other notable cast members of the show include Sainty Nelsen, Tucker Chandler, Juliet Donenfeld, Amari McCoy, Eduardo Franco, and more.
