Beyond the Gates is gearing up for a crossover episode with The Young and the Restless. Airing in June 2026, it will witness Vernon Dupree and Victor Newman reuniting at a political fundraiser. Now, Clifton Davis has shared his thoughts on two popular soaps coming together.
Here is all you need to know about what Davis said about the epic crossover.
Clifton Davis reveals ‘magic’ scene in Beyond the Gates and Young and Restless crossover
In an interview with Soaps, Clifton Davis opened up on the crossover episode of Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless. When asked about the crossover, Davis answered, “Let me just say that there’s a bit of magic when Eric [Braeden] and I bump heads when we share the screen and talk as two old men.”
The interviewer then asked whether Vernon goes back a long way with Victor. The 80-year-old replied, “He supported Vernon early on in his political career, and Vernon, not trying to satisfy any quid pro quo, has helped Victor over the years.” Davis further added, “In our scenes, you’ll see that. Victor’s colorful. The two of them never want to get into competition or fight, because both of them are deadly.”
Moreover, the outlet asked Davis about “a shocking event” that takes place at the fundraiser that brings the Young & Restless gang to Fairmont Crest. However, he shied away from sharing any spoilers, saying, “I can’t tell you anything about what happens there… But I can tell you that it will be exciting!”
The June crossover will feature Eric Braeden, Bryton James, Peter Bergman, Susan Walters, Michael Mealor, and Melissa Ordway. In the episode, Vernon is likely set to ask his longtime friend Victor to become the keynote speaker for the fundraiser of his grandson Martin.
The crossover will air on CBS and will also be available to stream on Paramount+.
