Who is 56 Days’ decomposed body in the bathtub?
The decomposing body in Oliver’s apartment is his counselor and unlicensed therapist, Dan Troxler. Dan knew about Oliver’s dark past, where he killed his friend Paul after a fight. He had constantly used that information to manipulate Oliver by threatening to expose it.
The series delivered another shocking twist when it was revealed that Ciara’s real name is Megan and she is actually the sister of Shane, Oliver, and Paul’s friend from their teenage years. After Paul died, Shane took the fall for his murder and eventually committed suicide in prison, leaving his sister to take revenge on Oliver. However, she began to develop real feelings for him and later realized it was Dan who manipulated Shane into killing himself.
After Megan revealed her real identity to Oliver, he realized that he loves her no matter their past. So, when Dan tried to manipulate Oliver one last time by convincing him to take his side instead of Megan, the pair decided to get rid of the nefarious therapist. Megan delivered a fatal blow to his head with a statue, killing him instantly. Megan and Oliver then covered up Dan’s murder by leaving him in the bathtub.

In addition to Dan, 56 Days featured two more unfortunate deaths in the series. In Episode 7, viewers find out what really happened between the three friends, Oliver, Shane, and Paul. After a heated argument broke out between the trio, Paul almost drowned Shane before Oliver intervened. However, he accidentally ended up killing Paul.
Although Shane and Oliver agreed never to speak of the incident, Oliver later put the blame on Shane. While in prison, Dan became Shane’s therapist and manipulated him into committing suicide. Megan thus got her long-awaited revenge when she finally killed Dan in the end.
