Daytime Emmy winner Jacob Young recently discussed the possibility of a soap opera return in a new interview, where he said that he could still reprise his role in All My Children. While he may not be back in any of his other famous roles, including Rick on The Bold and the Beautiful, it seems that the veteran still has a chance to return to the soap scene.
Here’s what Jacob Young said about his possible return to All My Children in the future.
Jacob Young wants to return as JR in All My Children movies
Jacob Young, known for his portrayals of JR on All My Children, Lucky on General Hospital, and Rick on The Bold and the Beautiful, has given his green light to at least one of the roles in the future.
In a recent interview with Michael Fairman TV, Young said that he was still open to playing JR. The conversation came up in regard to the All My Children TV movies that are currently under production on Lifetime. All My Children alum Kelly Ripa revealed on the latest episode of her SiriusXM podcast with special guest Susan Lucci that two All My Children movies were in production.
When asked if he could play JR again, Young said, “I think because of Beyond the Gates, there’s been a real reinvigoration of the possibility of something like All My Children coming back to the table now.”
He further confirmed his intention, adding, “If they were to do it [and wanted JR in the mix], count me in.”
This could come as welcome news to the actor’s fans. While it may take time before this is confirmed, for now, it appears that JR’s return to All My Children remains a possibility.
