Law & Order: SVU is bringing back a familiar and unsettling face in its latest episode, “Career Psychopath.” The shocking return of a young psychopath who’s left a lasting impression has fans buzzing about the grown-up version. Which character returns in Law & Order: SVU Season 27 Episode 11

The chilling Henry Mesner makes a haunting return in Law & Order: SVU Season 27, Episode 11 – “Career Psychopath.”

Ethan Cutkosky reprises his chilling role as Henry Mesner, who has had Detective Amanda Rollins, portrayed by Kelli, and Peter Muller Scanavino’s Dominick Carisi, Jr., on edge since his introduction back in Season 14. This time around, the unnerving psychopath’s actions are more twisted than ever, and Rollins is at the center of his latest scheme.

In the Law & Order “Career Psychopath” episode, Ethan Cutkosky’s Henry Mesner orchestrates a home invasion, posing a significant threat to the safety of Detective Rollins and her husband, Assistant District Attorney Sonny Carisi.

The episode unfolds with Rollins hurrying into an upscale restaurant, late for dinner with her husband. The couple shares a tender moment, toasting to two years together. The evening, however, takes a deadly turn when they return home.

Rollins discovers a break-in and finds a man holding a knife to Carisi’s throat. The detective is ordered to surrender her weapon, but she cleverly kicks it out of reach. Meanwhile, Carisi manages to elbow the attacker, but gets slashed in the process. Rollins grabs her gun and fires, grazing the attacker, who manages to escape.

Detective Amanda Rollins and Captain Olivia Benson lead the investigation into the home invasion, which takes a chilling turn when another murder victim’s M.O. matches the intruder’s. The victim’s aunt is a retired New York City judge who had a connection to Henry Mesner’s past case. That is when Detective Rollins realizes that Henry is behind the attack on her and ADA Carisi.

Benson and Rollins go on to apprise the team of Henry’s disturbing history. He was institutionalized in 2013 for abusing his sister, released in 2021, committing heinous crimes since.
