The episode kicks off with Eric running into Brooke and urging her to make things right with Katie. Brooke reveals that Katie was about to tell her about the lead designer and suggests that Eric stay to hear the news.

When Donna arrives, Eric plans to leave, explaining that he wants to take her to lunch. Brooke also says she has to go but hopes to learn the designer’s identity soon. She reminds Katie that she does not want business to cause a rift between them, and Katie agrees.

Donna shares her worries

After Brooke leaves, everyone is relieved that she does not learn the truth about the designer. Donna expresses her shock that Katie hired Eric. While Eric tries to calm her down, Donna vents about the risks of keeping secrets from Brooke. Katie reassures her that it is only temporary until the business launches, but Donna remains unconvinced.

She warns that Brooke may take the decision personally and that it could lead to a family war. The argument continues, with Donna accusing Katie of not thinking about Eric’s health. At the same time, Donna acknowledges that the opportunity is good for her husband and that he could always return to Forrester part-time. Katie agrees.

Will worries about his job

Will voices his concerns to Ridge about whether his mother’s departure from the company could negatively affect his career. Ridge reminds him that Katie is a Logan and reassures him that her choices will not impact his future. Will says he does not want to be involved in the family drama. Ridge assures him that his job is safe and even says that Will is better than his father.

After Will leaves, Brooke tells Ridge that she and Katie did not make as much progress as she had hoped. She also mentions that Eric was at the Logan house to take Donna to lunch and reiterates that she made it clear she does not want to be at odds with Katie. Ridge remains confident that things will eventually improve between the sisters.

Will overhears RJ and Electra

RJ and Electra talk about how they never met while growing up, with Electra expressing happiness over RJ’s return. She learns about his travels and design-school experiences while two interns secretly listen in. Electra jokingly calls RJ the golden child of the fashion world. Will enters and overhears the interns gossiping about not letting Electra get close to RJ as well.

A confused Will asks what they are talking about, and the interns reveal that RJ is back. Electra later mentions that she is seeing Will, while RJ admits he does not know him very well. When RJ asks about Luna, Will appears and clearly seems jealous.

Eric’s new plans

Donna continues to rant about Eric joining Katie’s business, repeatedly warning that it could cause serious family conflict. Eric argues that Forrester Creations is his legacy and that being pushed into retirement was never his choice. Katie assures him that he will receive the respect he deserves working with her. Frustrated and angry, Eric becomes determined to teach Brooke and Ridge a lesson, with Katie firmly on his side.
