R.J. expresses his happiness at seeing his parents together. They discuss the drama in each other’s lives to date, with R.J. thanking Ridge for saving Brooke during the boat incident.

Brooke and Ridge provide R.J. with an opportunity

Brooke and Ridge encourage R.J. to join their business and get involved in the design process. However, R.J. makes it clear that he does not plan to interfere creatively. When Ridge asks about couture, R.J. shows interest and excitement.

He thanks Ridge for the opportunity and says he will consider it. He is also shocked to learn that Eric has retired. Ridge explains that Eric did not want to step down, but Brooke interrupts, saying that he left because he wanted her husband to take charge. R.J. is relieved by the situation, and the family later shares a group hug.

Katie welcomes Eric

Katie gets emotional when Eric agrees to help her with her business. Concerns arise about Brooke and Ridge misunderstanding her decision to have Eric compete against his own son’s business. However, Eric reassures her that he has left Forrester Creations and is excited to be part of her venture.

After Eric cheers her up ahead of the business launch, they share a hug. Eric will serve as the lead designer, and Katie is fully on board. He also warns her that there will be stress involved, but Katie takes his words positively and welcomes him to the firm.

Katie’s concerns grow

Katie wants a long-term commitment from Eric

Katie reveals that she plans to have Bill draw up a contract for Eric to sign. Eric hesitates, saying he is not ready to commit long-term just yet. Still, Katie hopes he may change his mind after the launch. Eric remains enthusiastic and assures her that she will have the designs before she knows it. Katie is still amazed to have such an experienced designer on her side, and the two share another hug.
