In an interview with Us Weekly, director and executive producer Andrew Fleming revealed that Bravo’s limited appearance wasn’t a hint of his potential exit but mere scheduling conflicts. The actor was busy shooting a movie, and the show adjusted his plotline to fit his calendar.
“At no point was Luke (Lucas Bravo) ever leaving the show permanently. He did have a commitment. He had a movie that he was doing. So we worked around that. He’s important. He’s part of the DNA of the show,” Fleming told the outlet.
“When he and Emily are in a scene together, something undefinable happens. They have this chemistry. They do. There’s just something about the two of them that’s very watchable,” the EP added.
Moreover, with Emily and Marcello calling it quits by the end of Season 5 and the marketing executive returning to Paris, things are looking up for Gabriel. Learning about their breakup from Sylvie Grateau, the blue-eyed Michelin chef, sends Emily a postcard from Greece, inviting her to visit him there. The enticing cliffhanger has left fans wishing that the ex flames rekindle their romance and come back together, stronger than ever.
Sharing his views on the exciting possibility, Andrew Fleming said, “Looking ahead, they’re part of each other’s journey. Who is to say who Emily is going to end up with, but Emily and Gabriel are going to interact with each other. Stuff is going to happen [but] I really can’t say anything about what’s going to happen next season”.
Much to the happiness of anticipating fans, Netflix has officially renewed Emily in Paris for a Season 6.
