Why did Peter kidnap the DiMera family in Days of Our Lives?
Days of Our Lives finally revealed that Peter Blake is the one who kidnapped the DiMeria family. While the show has yet to disclose the actual reasoning behind his crime, fans have taken the opportunity to speculate.
It is theorized that his acts are a result of long-time resentment towards EJ. He probably blames him for all the suffering that he caused other family members. Furthermore, Peter has been the only family member ever to suffer the consequences of his actions, while others escaped. Over the years, he might’ve accumulated a lot of grudge against the family, leading to the kidnapping of everyone.
The storyline began during the show’s 60th anniversary celebration, where someone kidnapped Kristen DiMera. Over the next few weeks, Tony, Chad, Theo, and EJ. were all abducted and confined to the family crypt.
At the end of last week, Peter also ended up with the rest of the family in the crypt. While Peter initially didn’t accept the allegations, he eventually revealed himself to be the kidnapper.
It came to light as everyone tried to figure out who was behind it all. Theo raises the speculation that it might be Peter, given that he wasn’t around for over 30 years, and makes little sense why he was abducted with the family. That’s when he attacks Peter to check his pockets for any weapons. During their tussle, Peter pushes him to the ground, where he hits his head and starts to bleed.
He admitted, “Yes, you morons, it was me. I hadn’t meant to reveal myself so soon, but the end is the same. It doesn’t matter.” He also reveals that the vial in his hand has a poisonous gas and that if anyone tries to approach him, he’ll release it and kill everyone.
