Universal Pictures’ Wicked: For Good is now out in cinemas, and fans cannot be more excited to catch the magic on the big screen. However, while many enjoy the theater experience, some fans are curious to know how long until the film arrives on digital platforms.

When could Wicked: For Good’s digital release date be scheduled?
Wicked: For Good, the sequel to 2024’s fantasy musical film Wicked, is now out in cinemas starting November 21, 2025. The film sees Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo reprising their roles as Glinda and Elphaba respectively, as well as the return of Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh. With the film out now, fans are already excited to know when they will be able to watch the fantasy drama from the comfort of their homes.
As per previous release patterns for Wicked: Part One, the digital release should take place sometime around New Year’s Eve. The film came out in theaters on November 22, 2024, and got a digital release date of December 31, 2024. Wicked was a hit at the box office, reportedly making around $164.2 million worldwide, just in the opening weekend. Further, it received a streaming release date of March 21, 2025, four months after it’s theatrical release.
Hence, Wicked: For Good will likely follow the same pattern. The film could see its digital release sometime around the last week of December, ideally on December 30, 2025, making it a perfect New Year’s watch. Additionally, if previous patterns hold, the film could be available to stream on Peacock around March 20, 2026.
The official synopsis of the movie reads, “As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good.”
