Countdown Episode 10 was a shocking chapter in the series, as it delivered a huge twist regarding Borys Volchek and did something unexpected with the character. Moreover, there are still three episodes to go in this season, which makes this twist all the more significant.
Does Borys Volchek die in Countdown Season 1 Episode 10?
The tenth episode of Countdown opened with Episode 9’s cliffhanger. Volchek had been the big villain through the previous episodes, and at the end of the ninth episode, his story reached a boiling point.
As the show did in earlier episodes, it resolved the cliffhanger from Episode 9 in the first half of Episode 10 with surprising results.
The team began dismantling Volchek’s plan. Despite Volchek setting up multiple bombs that could potentially produce a Chernobyl-like effect in Los Angeles, Shepherd and Bell stopped the explosions by removing the tablets that detonated the bombs.
This time, unlike his previous moves, Volchek seemed to have reached the end of the line. He struggled to get to the roof and tried to explode the trucks carrying the bombs. However, Meachum killed him.
This was a major turn in the storyline, as Volchek was positioned to be the main antagonist of the season. But now, he is dead, with three more episodes still remaining.
His death gave the tenth episode a significant boost. Countdown now has to address the gap left by Volchek’s absence in the coming episodes. The show may have something else planned for the remaining episodes.
