In Episode 7, “Shooting Star,” Margo and Callie arrive at Jill’s home to find Starr fatally wounded. Jill admits that Starr confronted her about Abby and Brad, threatening to expose Jill’s role in covering up what happened to Abby. In a panic, Jill holds Margo and Callie at gunpoint until Callie shoots her, ending the standoff.
Episode 8 begins with Sophie’s release from prison, as police wrongly close the case with Jill listed as Abby’s killer. Sophie tries to reconnect with Margo, but suspicions linger. A discovery in Margo’s room — a box of tampons — contradicts Margo’s earlier claim that she couldn’t use them, revealing she had a recent abortion. Sophie connects this to Brad’s confession to Pastor Pete about his girlfriend’s abortion, which led Abby to uncover his affair with Margo.
