Will Solo Leveling Season 3 get a 2028 release date?
As of now, it is not confirmed whether Solo Leveling Season 3 will get a 2028 release date.
Season 2 aired its last episode on March 30, 2025. Since then, fans have been eagerly looking forward to the next season of the popular anime. Sadly, Solo Leveling hasn’t officially been renewed for Season 3. In a recent FYC Q&A session organized by Crunchyroll, producer Sota Furuhashi gave an update on the next season.
As per @SoloLevelAnime on X (formerly Twitter), he admitted that he has been eagerly awaiting Season 3 of the anime. However, “between Season 1 and Season 2, 220,000 animation frames were created.” As such, if it were up to Furuhashi, he would “wait until the next Olympics (2028) to see what’s going to happen with a Season 3.” Nevertheless, he mentioned that Season 3 lies more in the hands of Kaneko (animation producer at A-1) and A-1 Pictures.
Furuhashi and Kaneko also expressed excitement for the next season in a Reddit thread. They stated, “We’re really happy and excited to see so many people engaging in the Solo Leveling conversation—thank you all! We’d love to stop by in the future. They further added, “if you want a Season 3, it’s the energy from all of you across these subreddits and fan communities that will help make it happen.”
Moreover, in an X post, Kaneko hinted at good news coming using the Solo Leveling hashtag. On the other hand, Aleks Le, Sung Jinwoo’s English dub actor, mentioned on social media that Season 3 won’t come out soon, but continued to tease about the release date.
While speculations are endless, fans must wait for an official and clear update on Solo Leveling Season 3.
