The much-anticipated trailer for Now You See Me 3, aka Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, dropped recently. The trailer features the return of the franchise’s original set of magician thieves, the Four Horsemen. While fans are excited about the plot of this new installment, they are also curious about one character: the role of Lula, played by Lizzy Caplan. Is Lizzy Caplan’s Lula returning in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t?
As of now, Lizzy Caplan’s Lula is not confirmed to be returning in Now You See Me 3.
The trailer for the third installment has been released, but Caplan’s character, Lula, does not appear in it, and she is also not listed as part of the film’s cast. Lula was featured in Now You See Me 2, where she joined the Four Horsemen, taking over the role of Henley Reeves, played by Isla Fisher in the first film.
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t will mark the return of the original Four Horsemen. This also includes the comeback of Henley, played by Fisher. As such, Lula might not appear in the third part as the character she replaced in Now You See Me 2 is now back.
While Lula isn’t mentioned in the trailer or the cast list, there is hope for her return in the third installment. In a February 2025 interview with ScreenRant, Caplan neither denied nor confirmed her comeback in Now You See Me 3. When asked about the film and the fans’ demand for Lula’s comeback, she said, “I don’t know.” Further, she was informed about the film’s production being wrapped up and the release in the fall. Caplan answered, “They have? It’s coming out in the fall?”
Caplan’s comments can give some small hope to the fans about her return in Now You See Me 3. It is possible the Four Horsemen might become five with Lula’s comeback. However, the chances are unlikely with Henley’s return and the presence of many other big faces in the film. Nevertheless, fans will get their answers after the film’s release.
Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is slated to hit the theatres on November 14, 2025.
