Jessica Serfaty’s Sloan Peterson was a major character in the Peacock (formerly on NBC) soap opera Days of Our Lives from August 2022 to June 2024. After her somewhat abrupt departure from the show’s plot, the fans were left wondering whether they would ever see her again. And now, if recent speculations are to be believed, Sloan might make a return to Salem, Illinois, the fictional city that serves as the setting for Days of Our Lives.
Will Jessica Serfaty’s Sloan Peterson return to Days of Our Lives?
Neither Peacock nor the series’ producers have spoken on whether Jessica Serfaty could return as Sloan Peterson. However, some fans believe that the recent events in the show are doing the groundwork for her eventual return. Earlier this year, Sloan left Salem to relocate outside the US. At the time, this once antagonistic attorney was in the middle of her redemption arc, but she was gone before getting a proper conclusion to that aspect of her story.
This is potentially a hint unto itself about her prospective return. Before she left, she agreed to EJ DiMera’s offer. She became significantly wealthy despite her plans to tell the truth about the baby-switching incident to Eric Brady and Nicole Walker. Perhaps, if she returns and faces those two again, she can finally come clean on the matter.
Recently, Eric had a heated confrontation with Melinda Trask, Sloan’s accomplice, when the latter switched the babies. It’s possible that, facing the prospect of losing her job, Melinda might decide to expose Sloan.
Furthermore, the escalating conflict between Stefan and EJ could also pave the way for Sloan’s return due to EJ’s role in the baby-switching incident.
Perhaps Sloan’s retry point in the story could be Paris, where she can help Chad DiMera discover the truth about the woman impersonating Abigail Deveraux.
As of early October 2024, Serfaty hasn’t said anything about her return to Days of Our Lives. But that is to be expected. If she is indeed returning, the producers will probably like it to be a surprise for the audience.
