Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is one of the breakout shows of the season, and Jennifer “Jen” Affleck is arguably one of its biggest stars. Accordingly, there is much interest in the relationship she has with her husband Zac, who is a second cousin of actor and filmmaker Ben Affleck.

Yes, it appears that Jen and Zac Affleck from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are currently still together. In an interview before the show’s premiere on Friday, September 6, Jen revealed that the series had given her and Zac the opportunity to work on their problems.
“I definitely think it was the best thing to happen to our relationship. While watching the show, a lot of people are going to think that maybe this would break our relationship apart. But if anything, it did the opposite,” Jen told US Weekly. “Being on camera and having those moments happen made us take a step back and actually look at a relationship and make us just see what we have to change.”
Jen also revealed the couple had gotten therapy, which has had positive results. “Ever since we finished filming, we’ve been doing nonstop therapy and it’s been great,” she explained “So if anything, [watching the show] is just going to be exposure therapy at this point.”
Jen claimed that she and her husband had been able to move “past everything.” She also stated that they would talk about it when the series came out.
In The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Zac and Jen seemingly have serious marital problems. Several of Jen’s co-stars have spoken out about how Zac treated Jen. “I think that there was a lot of things that Jen was doing at the time — and I think she would admit this — that were kind of driven by Zac’s insecurities,” fellow The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast member Demi Engemann said in a separate interview with the same outlet.
Engemann also reflected on the changes that Jen seemed to have recently undergone. “I really do feel like she has found her voice,” Engemann said. “She’s now, like, ‘Hey, we are individuals as well as a couple. I have every right to do what feels right for me too within certain boundaries and respect for the relationship.’ But I think she has found her voice and I’m excited to see how that dynamic shifts,” she added.
