After a recent social media exchange on Instagram stories, a public dispute has arisen between singers Bebe Rexha and G-Eazy. The two artists previously collaborated on the commercially successful track âMe, Myself and Iâ in 2015, which peaked at number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Letâs take a look at the recent feud and what exactly went down.
Hereâs everything we know about Bebe Rexhaâs post on social media regarding G-Eazy.
Bebe Rexha and G-Eazy drama explained
In a now-deleted Instagram story, Bebe Rexha shared a few harsh words about her former collaborator G-Eazy.
According to Billboard, Bebe Rexha made a reference to rapper G-Eazy on her Instagram account on June 13. The content of the post was subsequently deleted. The story consisted of a screenshot of a group chat in which someone is asking her if she has âany interest in shooting social content with g eazy when in New York?â
After which, tagging the âAnxietyâ rapper over the screenshot of the chat, she captioned the story, â@g_eazy you have my number. Why donât you text me and ask me yourself you stuck up ungrateful loser.â
Further taking a jab while addressing her past with G-Eazy she continued, âYouâre lucky people are liking you again. Cause I could go in on all the sh**ty things youâve done and how you treated me after giving you your only real hit.â Finally, responding to the question she wrote, âBtw the answer is no. Hope you good.â
Furthermore, after deleting the story, in an X (formerly Twitter) post, the âIn the Name of Loveâ singer explained why she took down the story. In the post, she wrote, âSomeone from my team had me take down my Instagram story. I decided to remove it because it felt very negative and toxic. Sometimes trauma can lead us to react that way, and that period of my life was traumatizing. I am writing this because I regret taking it down and I want to say that I still stand by what I said.â
At this time, G-Eazy has not issued a public statement regarding the matter.
