Iron Man 4 Trailer: Is It Real or Fake? Is Robert Downey Jr. Returning?

An Iron Man 4 trailer was posted on YouTube recently, igniting rumors about a possible fourth installment of the series. The trailer features Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man and also features the character’s daughter in the MCU, Morgan Stark. Does this mean Robert Downey Jr. will return as Iron Man in Iron Man 4?

Here’s everything you need to know about the trailer and the rumors.

Is the new Iron Man 4 trailer real or fake?

The Iron Man 4 trailer is a fake fan-made trailer by KH Studios, a YouTube channel with over 200k subscribers known for its fan-made content. You can watch the trailer below:

This is not an official trailer from Marvel Studios for a fourth installment of Iron Man. Many fan-made trailers are regularly uploaded to the internet, especially for superhero movies.

The trailer features scenes of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man from past films, including Avengers: Endgame. It also shows a few glimpses of Tony Stark’s daughter, Morgan, and the character Ironheart. However, Marvel Studios has not indicated that any such movie was ever put into development.

Will Robert Downey Jr. come back to the MCU?

It is still uncertain whether Robert Downey Jr. will return as Iron Man, but the hopes of Marvel fans have not completely been destroyed yet.

Almost four years ago, Robert Downey Jr. opened up about playing the character that started the MCU while on Joe Rogan’s podcast. He said, “I feel like I’ve done all I could with that character.” However, recently when the actor spoke to Esquire, he seemed to have changed his mind somewhat. After being asked whether he would be willing to return as Iron Man, he replied, “Happily. It’s too integral a part of my DNA. That role chose me. And look, I always say, Never, ever bet against Kevin Feige. It is a losing bet. He’s the house. He will always win.”

So, Robert Downey Jr. could return to the MCU if they need Iron Man to come to the rescue of the Avengers. However, currently, there is no confirmation about Robert Downey Jr. returning as the beloved superhero anytime soon.
