In early May 2024, FilmNation announced the third entry in the 47 Meters Down film series, 47 Meters Down: The Wreck. Patrick Lussier (Play Dead) will direct the film from a script by Johannes Roberts and Ernest Riera. The duo penned the scripts for the first two films as well, and Roberts directed them. Allen Media Group Motion Pictures’ Byron Allen and James Harris and Mark Lane of Tea Shop Productions will serve as producers. FilmNation is set to introduce 47 Meters Down: The Wreck for international sales at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
“We can’t wait for audiences to be trapped underwater with us again,” Roberts said. “47 Meters Down: The Wreck is going to be the biggest, most intense film of this franchise.”
