The plot revolves around a group of teenagers from the fictional place called Freeridge in Los Angeles, as they navigate high school, friendship, and romance. Is there an On My Block Season 5 release date?
There is no On My Block Season 5 release date as the series concluded after four seasons.
In January 2021, Netflix greenlit the fourth and final season of On My Block. Following the premiere of the season, series star Sierra Capri reflected on her feelings about the show’s ending in an interview with Elle.
“I honestly feel like acting in general is a therapy session, which is why I love the field so much,” the actress said. “But for our show in particular, that last day, we were all looking at each other like, where did the time go? Can you believe that we filmed four seasons of a show? The fact we even made it to four seasons with the support of our amazing fans and all the love we received over the years, we would not be in these positions without it. We’re very aware of that and we never take it for granted. It was almost like a blink, and we’re done,” she added.
A spin-off to On My Block, titled Freeridge, debuted on Netflix on February 2, 2023. The streaming giant canceled the show after its inaugural season.
The cast of On My Block includes Sierra Capri as Monsé Finnie, Jason Genao as Ruben “Ruby” Martinez, and Brett Gray as Jamal Turner. It also features Diego Tinoco as Cesar Diaz and Jessica Marie Garcia as Jasmine Flores.
Why On My Block Season 5 isn’t happening
On My Block Season 5 isn’t coming out because, as mentioned above, the series drew to a close after the fourth season.
