Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are splitting up after mutually deciding to get divorced.
On Friday, April 12, 2024, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced on Good Morning America that the two will be splitting up after marrying earlier this year on The Golden Bachelor. Revealing the reason for ending their marriage, Turner told Juju Chang:
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth and — and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to — dissolve our marriage.”
Nist further added:
“We have received so much love and support from so many people who watched The Golden Bachelor, and I don’t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope. We want none of that to change for anybody.”
Both of them agreed that they still loved each other. But Turner explained that he and Nist are equally dedicated to their families. After looking for homes in several locations including South Carolina and New Jersey, they decided to live apart.
