Ram Charan’s awaited collaboration with director Sukumar has been officially announced. The actor-director duo reportedly collaborated a few years ago, but neither made it official. However, the announcement about RC17 has now taken the internet by storm as fans are waiting to catch the movie. Amid their anticipation, SS Rajamouli’s son, SS Karthikeya, teased details about the movie’s opening sequence.
Mythri Movie Makers, who are bankrolling the film, made the official announcement on Holi, March 25, 2024. The production house called the upcoming film Sukumar’s magnum opus and promised that it would be a massive one. Check out the announcement below.
SS Karthikeya confirms Ram Charan’s RC17 will be a blockbuster
SS Karthikeya and Ram Charan worked together in Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR. Recalling a conversation with Charan, Karthikeya penned a tweet and teased details about RC17’s opening sequence. He wrote, “I think during the climax shoot of RRR, he just randomly opened up about doing a film with Sukumar garu and started talking about the opening sequence of the film. For almost 5 minutes, my mind was blown. Ever since he mentioned it, I’ve been waiting for the film to be announced. Imagining it as a blockbuster already, it will become one of the iconic sequences.” “I hope I won’t leak much about it brother @AlwaysRamCharan,” he added.
Earlier, during an interview with Pinkvilla, SS Rajamouli also praised RC17’s opening sequence. He said, “I have a spoiler there. I know the opening sequence of Sukumar’s and Ram Charan’s film. Obviously, I will not reveal it…Sukumar will have a heart attack. But, that would be the most hard-hitting scenes.” “Audiences will quiver in their seats when they watch that scene.”
On the work front, Ram Charan already has Game Changer and RC 16 in the pipeline. The release date of his upcoming movies has not been announced yet.
