An adaptation of the namesake manga series written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, this fantasy anime series follows elven mage Frieren, as she travels across the world and accumulates knowledge about humanity. Years earlier, she was a member of the hero’s party and played a pivotal role in the Demon King’s defeat. Being an elf, Frieren doesn’t necessarily understand how fickle human existence is. When her former comrades start dying due to old age, a grief-stricken Frieren realizes how little she knows about the humans and decides to rectify that.
