Students living in the US and UK are wondering if there is an HBO Max student discount, and are asking if they can get a subscription at a cheaper rate. Here is all you need to know.

No, HBO Max currently does not have a student discount available for U.S. and U.K. students.
However, in the past, there was a student discount available for students, primarily college-goers, who had to save up money for living expenses. As of 2022, however, there are no such discounts available. (via Togetherprice)
As such, even if you are a student, you will still have to pay the same rates as any other user for an HBO Max subscription, which is an ad-supported plan for $9.99 a month/$99.99 a year, an ad-free plan for $15.99 a month/$149.99 a year, and an Ultimate ad-free plan for $19.99 a month/$199.99 a year.
However, other streaming services offer student discounts for subscriptions. Two notable ones are Amazon Prime Video, which offers a student-discounted subscription for $7.49 a month/$69 a year, and Hulu which offers a $1.99 per month subscription for students ($6 off of their standard plan which is $7.99 a month).
if you really want an HBO Max subscription, but still want to save on one, then it is best that you go for a yearly plan instead of a monthly plan. That way you could save almost $20 over a year if you choose the ad-supported plan, almost $42 over a year for an ad-free plan, and almost $40 over a year for the ultimate ad-free plan.
