They stumble upon the latter, who gives them an enigmatic record before being slain by Vadin, a man who belongs to a cult that was searching for the Black Hymn.
The band chooses to perform the Black Hymn, an antiquated piece of sheet music with the power to call out demons. Unusual things start to happen when they perform the song. As the narrative unfolds, Brodie learns more about the Black Hymn’s significance while he explores its association with evil powers and the town’s citizens’ possession by the formidable demon Aeloth. Brodie and Zakk try to undo the summoning by performing the Black Hymn in reverse, with the assistance of Dion, Giles, and Medina.
Milo Cawthorne plays the role of Brodie, James Joshua Blake essays Zakk, Kimberley Crossman portrays Medina Darcy, and Sam Berkley appears as Dion.
