The story revolves around elven mage Frieren, who was a member of the adventuring party that vanquished the Demon King decades earlier. As her former human comrades begin dying due to old age, a grieving Frieren is forced to acknowledge the reality of human mortality. She subsequently embarks on a new journey to learn about humans.
