Will Finn Jones come back as Danny Rand in the MCU?
Finn Jones’ return as Danny Rand in the MCU is not officially confirmed as of writing.
However, according to semi-reliable industry insider and scooper Daniel RPK via Patreon, who also revealed that Marvel was reportedly making a female-centric MCU Iron Fist project, Marvel is reportedly not ruling out Finn Jones’ reprisal of Danny Rand in the MCU entirely. RPK also revealed that according to some sources, Danny Rand would return but not as the main Iron Fist moving forward.
Ultimately this is only a rumor and as is the case with rumors and speculations, fans should take this with a huge grain of salt and wait for official confirmation from Marvel Studios on the matter.
Despite the lack of confirmation on Finn Jones’ return as Iron Fist in the MCU, the actor has expressed interest in reprising the role. In an interview with Geekscape, Jones expressed his love and admiration for the character and his hopes of playing the character again and proving his critics wrong. He also confidently claimed that he could give fans the Danny Rand performance they wished for.
However, in the same interview, he also mentioned that his return should happen in a way that makes sense both creatively and narratively. He also expressed interest in adapting the Heroes for Hire story arc and having Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing also come back to be Iron Fist after having received the mantle at the end of the second season of the show. He also expressed interest in reuniting with Luke Cage star Mike Colter at some point.
