Barbie Oscars Reactions: What Did Whoopi Goldberg & Hillary Clinton Say?

Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie’s Barbie Oscar snubs have produced many reactions, including from Whoopi Goldberg and Hillary Clinton. Here is what both Goldberg and Clinton had to say about the matter.

What did Whoopi Goldberg say about Barbie’s lack of Oscars nominations?

Whoopi Goldberg’s reaction to Barbie’s Oscar snubs was a reminder that everybody does not win, saying that Gerwig and Robbie missing out was not a snub.

In her interview with The Hollywood Reporter’s The View, Goldberg stated her opinion was based on her understanding of who votes for nominees for the Academy Awards:

“It’s not the elites, it’s the entire family of the Academy who vote for best picture nominations. We all vote for best picture, everybody. You don’t get everything that you want to get.”

Goldberg’s reaction showed a grounded understanding of how sometimes in the entertainment industry, and in life, people don’t get everything they want.

What did Hillary Clinton say about Barbie’s lack of Oscars nominations?

Hillary Clinton sympathized with Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie’s Oscar snubs in her reaction.

Taking to Instagram, Hillary Clinton penned a heartfelt message to Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig assuring them that they still had millions of fans who loved them (including herself) which said:

“Greta and Margot, While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you.”

She then concluded by telling them that they were more than enough or “Kenough” (as said multiple times by Ken himself in the Barbie movie) and ended the message with the hashtag #HillaryBarbie.

In entertainment elsewhere, here is our interview with Cold Copy’s Jacob Tremblay. Also, here is the trailer for Masterpiece’s Alice & Jack.
