In early 2023, it was reported that Netflix had secured the streaming rights to Guntur Kaaram for ₹81 crore ($9.77 million). According to this deal, the film will debut on the streaming platform within 50 to 60 days of its theatrical release, which happened on January 12, 2024. Considering this, it can be safely stated that Guntur Kaaram will come out on Netflix in early March 2024.
Set in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, the film tells the story of Veera Venkata Ramana aka “Rowdy” Ramana, a local goon who tries to find his way back to his estranged mother, romances a journalist, and takes on the local political class.
The cast includes Mahesh Babu as Veera Venkata Ramana alias “Rowdy” Ramana, Sreeleela as Amulya “Ammu” Malyada, Meenakshi Chaudhary as Raji, Ramya Krishnan as Vasundhara, Jayaram as “Royal” Satyam, Prakash Raj as Venkata Swamy, Jagapathi Babu as Marx, Rao Ramesh as Narayana, Easwari Rao as Bujji, and more.
