Echo: What Are Her New Powers & Abilities in the MCU Show?

The MCU’s Echo series establishes Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez as an interesting new character through the latest Marvel Spotlight banner. But what makes her exciting is the set of abilities she gains throughout the series. For fans who wish to find out what they are, here are all the powers that Echo could possess in her upcoming show.

What are Echo’s powers in the MCU show?

The MCU will grant Echo some new powers including superhuman strength, and multiple other abilities that she gains from her Choctaw ancestors.

While Maya is highly trained in hand-to-hand combat and also possesses sharpshooting abilities as teased in Hawkeye, she will reportedly be getting some brand-new powers. As per familiar scooper CanWeGetSomeToast, her abilities will come from her ancestors and manifest in the form of tattoos.

Among the multiple abilities that she’d gain, a few reported ones include enhanced strength, speed, and durability. Along with them, she is rumored to have the power that sends out vibrations and waves which carry healing and fixing attributes. But the other powers of Echo are yet to be revealed. ComingSoon will update this set of abilities once the show arrives and reveals more powers of Echo.

How are Echo’s powers in the MCU different from the comics?

In the comics, Echo’s combat ability is similar to Taskmaster as she can mimic the moves of her opponents. But the MCU grants her new powers to make the character more interesting.

Similar to how Izuku Midoriya gets multiple powers from the previous holders of One for All in My Hero Academia, Maya Lopez will also inherit several different powers from her Choctaw ancestors. As per CanWeGetSomeToast, those powers will manifest in the form of face tattoos resembling her ancestors when she uses their particular abilities.
