In the first season, Yusuke is tasked to investigate cases involving a rogue yokai after passing his trial. As Yusuke delves deeper into the case, he finds himself entangled in the intricate web of the demon, spirit, and human world.

This live-action series premieres on December 14, 2023, on Netflix, with all five episodes dropping on the same day. It is based on the manga series of the same name by Yoshihiro Togashi and developed by Akira Morii and Kazutaka Sakamoto. The first season has been directed by Shô Tsukikawa.
