The Boys Season 4 has started to get fans excited after its recent trailer. But watching the new footage, many fans were confused after noticing Black Noir’s presence. How has the character returned after his tragic fate? Here’s all you need to know.
How did Black Noir suddenly return in The Boys season 4?
Black Noir could have healed due to his regenerative healing factor, but he would have surely received external help.
When Homelander pulled Black Noir’s guts out in The Boys Season 3 finale, it seemed that he died. But the first trailer of Season 4 confirmed his comeback. In further officially revealed plot details, we get also the confirmation that “Somehow, Noir has returned.”
In the past, Black Noir was able to heal even after Soldier Boy cracked his skull open. So, it’s likely that his regenerative healing factor could have helped his comeback. But since he is a part of the Seven once again, there are two possibilities surrounding his return.
The first option could be that he was experimented upon by Vought. After the treatment, his regenerative capabilities took over. But this new version could be entirely under Vought’s control, which is why he isn’t revolting against Homelander. The second option could be that an imposter is simply posing as Black Noir to maintain his public appearance.
Do Black Noir’s powers include invincibility and immortality?
Black Noir’s powers do not include invincibility or immortality. But he does possess longevity and regenerative healing.
In the comics, Black Noir is an evil clone of Homelander and is considered by some to be the strongest character. But that isn’t the case in Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys universe. Here he possesses the following powers and abilities:

- Superhuman Agility
- Superhuman Reflexes
- Regenerative Healing Factor
- Pain Suppression
- Longevity
- Master of Stealth and Martial Arts
These abilities could have allowed him to survive Homelander’s attack in Season 3.
