However, if you are patient enough to sit through the credits, you will be greeted with a small treat. The treat is a blooper video that will surely make you burst out a few laughs after having experienced an intense and terrifying horror flick.
Again, this is just a joke video, not a video teasing anything important regarding the franchise’s future. Despite the lack of a mid, end, or post-credits scene that could have served as a tease of future films, Eli Roth did not rule out the possibility of Thanksgiving becoming a slasher franchise in the future. Speaking to Comicbook.com, the director said:
“Well, we didn’t really think too much beyond this movie, but as we were shooting, you start joking around going, ‘Oh yeah, we could do a movie set there, we could do this, we could do that. The Thanksgivingverse'”
Roth then added by saying that it was entirely up to the fans when it came down to making future Thanksgiving films. He then concluded by stressing that he and the rest of the filmmaking crew thought about how to get back to making more Thanksgiving films and that they would love to make more.
