The Boys Season 4 is slated to arrive next year and fans are curious to know who the main villain will be. Here are some possibilities on who might take that spotlight.
Who will be the main villain of The Boys Season 4?
Homelander will most definitely be the main villain of The Boys Season 4. However, it is very likely that Victoria Neuman could take that spotlight instead or share it with him.
The final scenes of The Boys Season 3 seemed to hint that Homelander would continue to be the main looming threat for the world and The Boys in Season 4 like he was in the first three seasons, after he mercilessly killed a Starlight supporter in front of some people and also managed to get his son Ryan to be at his side after the latter was scorned by Billy Butcher.
This was further hinted in Gen V, when that series featured news reports talking about Homelander going on trial for his murder of the Starlight supporter.
However, it is also very likely that Victoria Neuman could serve as the main antagonist of the fourth season instead of Homelander or maybe even share the spotlight with him. The very last scene of The Boys Season 3’s final episode show Billy Butcher and The Boys see a newscast of Victoria Neuman campaigning to be the Vice President of the United States, after her predecessor was murdered by The Deep. Butcher even tells his team that Neuman is their next target.
Furthermore, there is also the possibility that Billy Butcher himself could become a villain, a turn that could surprise audiences. The Boys Season 3 seemed to tease this by showing Butcher’s declining morality via his wrongful accusation of Ryan for Becca’s murder, his breaking of The Boys’ trust by briefly becoming a Supe, and his hurtful actions towards Hughie and Mother’s Milk on separate occasions when they got in his way of revenge against Homelander. This isn’t a far-off possibility since Butcher does become a villain in the comics.
