Where are Marie and others being held at the end of Gen V Episode 8?

With the tease of Elmira Adult Rehabilitation Center in Gen V Episode 1, it is presumed that Marie, Emma, Jordan & Andre were locked up there by Vought.

Towards the end of Gen V, Homelander dropped in to save the day. Even though Marie and her friends were trying to save others, Homelander saw what she did to Cate (albeit unintentionally) and he didn’t take the act of a Supe attacking another Supe kindly. As a result, he lasered her and the next thing we saw was the entire chaos at Godolkin getting pinned down on Marie, Emma, Jordan and Andre.

The four of them woke up at a never-before-seen facility, leaving the viewers asking where they were. So far, we’ve witnessed two places that held out-of-control Supes. One of them was the Sage Grove Psychiatric Hospital in The Boys Season 2, while the other was Marie’s orphanage, the Red River Institute.

Episode 1 had teased the Elmira Adult Rehabilitation Center, where Supes were taken when they went out of control, so it’s likely that Marie and the others are held up over there.

How Gen V episode 8 sets up The Boys Season 4

With Homelander and Vought publicly pushing the idea of two powerful heroes, Sam and Cate being the Guardians of Gololkin, they could join The Seven in Season 4. Meanwhile, Butcher could go on to rescue Marie and others or expose Vought’s involvement in the Supe killing virus.

Since The Seven needs new heroes, Homelander now has two extremely strong Supes under his thumb who could be added to the team. Whether they appear in The Boys Season 4 or are strictly limited to Gen V remains to be seen.

Gen V has perfectly set up The Boys Season 4 with the conflict against Homelander and the Supe virus. Billy Butcher’s cameo in the post-credits scene could take the latter plot thread further, as it’s likely that Mallory sent him to the woods to investigate the Supe virus situation.

He could be the one to get it from Victoria Neuman and use it against Homelander in Season 4. Whether he also rescues Marie and the others could be answered when he shows up next.
