Pluto Season 2 Release Date Rumors: Is It Coming Out?

Curious about the Pluto Season 2 release date? Here are all the latest details. Pluto is based on the namesake Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoki Urasawa. The source material is a dark retelling of The Greatest Robot on Earth story arc from Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy manga series.

Here’s all the Pluto Season 2 release date information we know so far and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there a Pluto Season 2 release date?

There is no Pluto Season 2 release date, as the first season covers the entirety of the manga series.

Pluto season 1 has eight episodes that run for 57-71 minutes. Studio Genco and Tezuka Productions handled the production duties in season 1, with Studio M2 doing the animation. At the Netflix panel at Anime Expo 2023, Masao Maruyama, the founder of Studio M2, revealed that season 1 would cover all eight volumes of the manga series.

This made some fans worry about the pacing of the show, as there was a lot to cover in only eight episodes. The season 1 release likely has negated those worries, as even though it does cover the entire story from the manga, it is exceptionally well done and has received mostly positive responses from critics and fans alike.

The voice cast includes Shinshū Fuji as Gesicht, Hiroki Yasumoto as Mont Blanc, Koichi Yamadera as North No. 2, Hidenobu Kiuchi as North No. 2, Hidenobu Kiuchi as Brando, Rikiya Koyama as Hercules, Mamoru Miyano as Epsilon, Yoko Hikasa as Atom, Minori Suzuki as Uran, Hideyuki Tanaka as Brau 1589, and more.

Where is Pluto Season 2 coming out?

Pluto Season 2 isn’t confirmed to release on Netflix. ComingSoon will provide an update if the circumstances change.

The official synopsis for Pluto reads:

“Robot Inspector Gesicht tracks down a ruthless serial murderer in this dark sci-fi mystery. Executive produced by anime industry legend Masao Maruyama.”
