HBO Max‘s new TV and movie releases for October 16-22 include three HBO Max originals Candy Cruz, Peter & The Wolf, and Teenage Kiss: The Future Is Dead.
On October 19, viewers can start streaming Candy Cruz. This series will revolve around Candy Cruz, whose natural gift of cooking lands her a place in a TV Cooking Contest that is not only bound to bring her fame but will also give her an unforgettable experience. This series stars Cassandra Sanchez Navarro, Erika Buenfil, and Eugenio Siller.
Also on October 19, viewers can stream the animated short film, Peter and the Wolf, illustrated by musician Bono, and narrated and scored by Gavin Friday. This film, which features a juxtaposition of hand-drawn 2D animation combined with a physically set-built world, follows a 12-year-old grieving boy Peter, who is left in the care of his grandfather after losing a parent. Peter, who learns about a wolf on the loose via stories told him, ventures out into the forest in search of the wolf himself. In the process, he encounters various creatures who help him in his quest and also hunters who seek to capture the wolf with the goal of winning a prize.
Again on October 19, viewers can stream Teenage Kiss: The Future is Dead, a Brazillian series set in a dystopian Brazil, where the Amazon Rainforest has become an industrial park and a group of young people seek to live their youth to the fullest while protecting themselves from an evil attacking adults: monochromatism.
