The books have been adapted in various media formats over the years, with the 2020 series being the latest TV adaptation. In October 2022, Variety reported that the third season of The Hardy Boys had gone into production and that it would also be the final season of the series.
Pam Westman, the president of Nelvana Studios, one of the production companies behind the series, said in a statement, “The exceptional cast and crew brought the revered Hardy Boys adventures to life, successfully engaged audiences around the world, and garnered awards and critical acclaim. As this mystery comes to a close, we’re looking forward to providing fans with more mystery-solving action, surprising turn-of-events, and laughs in a wild final season.”
Joan Lambur, the president of Lambur Productions, which co-produced the series with Nelvana, echoed Westman’s sentiments. “We’re excited that we’ve been able to produce a compelling and complex conclusion to The Hardy Boys this season,” she said. “It’s been an honor to work on this iconic title with an amazing cast and crew, alongside our incredibly supportive partners at Nelvana, Corus, and Hulu,” she added.
