One Piece: What We Know About Figarland So Far

Who is Figarland Garling in One Piece? What has been revealed about him and his family in the series? So far, we only know a few things about the World Noble and his family tree. Here is a guide on One Piece’s Figarland.

Who is Figarland Garling in One Piece?

Figarland Garling’s first appearance was in Chapter 1086 of the manga. He is the Supreme Commander of the Holy Knights, a group of royal guards operating at Marijoa. Sakazuki says they rank above the Marines because they serve as law enforcers in the Holy Land. Garling is also a Celestial Dragon and belongs to the Figarland family. His weapon is a saber.

In chapter 1086, Garling is shown to have just executed another Celestial Dragon. He executed Donquixote Mjosgard for protecting the Fish-Men, specifically the Neptune Royal Family.

In the past, he used to be a champion at God Valley. However, the story has not revealed further details yet about this.

Is Shanks a Figarland?

It is possible that Shanks is a Figarland.

The first non-canonical mention of the Figarland family was during One Piece Film: Red. So far, Figarland Garling is the only one we know who comes from this family.

However, it is possible that Shanks might be part of this family. After all, when Shanks was a baby, Roger and Rayleigh found him inside a treasure chest at God Valley after the God Valley Incident. As we know, Garling was a former champion at God Valley. Both Shanks and Garling also use a saber.

We have yet to wait for the story to reveal more details about Shanks’ background and whether he is related to this family of Celestial Dragons.
