Ahsoka Episode 9 Release Date & Time: Will There Be a New Episode on Disney Plus?

The Ahsoka Episode 9 release date and time are highly anticipated after the launch of Episode 8. The latest episode left multiple plot threads dangling, and fans wonder whether they will be tied up in episode 9. So, here’s all you need to know.

Is there an Ahsoka episode 9 release date and time?

There is no Ahsoka episode 9 release date and time for season 1, but the story could continue in a future season.

Ahsoka Season 1 was confirmed to have eight episodes in total. While there is no “Episode 9” planned at the moment of writing, a season 2 is possible and reportedly under discussion. As per Deadline, the series has not been officially renewed for its second season yet, but talks are currently happening.

Ahsoka Episode 9 Release Date

In Ahsoka’s finale, Grand Admiral Thrawn successfully made his way to Dathomir in the main Star Wars galaxy. Ezra Bridger also returned home on Thrawn’s ship and united with General Hera Sendulla to warn her about Thrawn. Meanwhile, Ahsoka and Sabine Wren were left stranded on Peridea in the new galaxy, as were Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. Their stories should continue in the future.

But with the way Ahsoka’s finale has set things up, there are three possibilities for how the story might continue

  1. Ahsoka’s story will continue to be explored in The Mandalorian Season 4.
  2. It will continue in Dave Filoni’s upcoming Mandoverse Star Wars movie.
  3. We will get an Ahsoka season 2 before Filoni’s upcoming movie.

Out of those three options, the third is presumed to be the likeliest.

Why Ahsoka Season 2 will happen

Dave Filoni’s culminating Star Wars movie is still about three years away. Before that, there is enough time to launch both The Mandalorian Season 4 (in the first half of 2025), and Ahsoka Season 2 (in the second half of 2025 or early 2026). From there on, both The Mandalorian Season 4 and Ahsoka Season 2 could lead things into Filoni’s final film.

While speaking with Empire earlier this year, Rosario Daw talked about her wishes for a second season for a second season. She said:

“I’m absolutely putting it out into the universe. We’re joking about it, but I’m manifesting it because I feel like I helped Dave manifest this role. So I’m ready. I’m excited. I’m willing. I got my ice-packs ready to go for Season 2 and beyond! I would not be mad at that.”
