This upcoming animated series will be the latest adaptation of Capcom’s popular Devil May Cry video game series. At the time of writing, Devil May Cry: The Animated Series does not have a release date. However, it will very likely be released on Netflix by the end of 2023 or the first half of 2024.
This is because Netflix revealed in the recent announcement trailer for the show that Devil May Cry: The Animated Series was “Coming Soon” on the streaming platform, which is only used for shows that are not very far away from their expected release times. Moreover, it’s likely that the upcoming animated series is almost done with its animation and recording, given that this show has been in development since 2018.
The 2023 and 2024 dates are an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.
At the time of writing, the voice cast has not been revealed. However, the characters Dante, his brother Vergil, and his ally Lady are confirmed to appear. Adi Shankar, who previously worked on Castlevania and Castlevania: Nocturne is the showrunner. Shankar has also revealed that this upcoming animated series will be a part of his Bootleg Multiverse continuity and will also have a crossover with Castlevania at some point in the future.
