Helmed by Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey, African Cats is a 2011 documentary film that shows and co-existence, and strategic prowess of the big cats of Africa. It is set in Kenya and showcases two groups of families, a family of cheetahs consisting of a female cheetah, Sita, and her five cubs co-existing with a pride of lions headed by Kali, who is planning on expanding their control into the cheetah family’s territory. The documentary also shows a family of lions consisting of a female lion, Layla, and her cub belonging to a pride led by the male lion Fang in the southern plains of Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserves.

To get access to African Cats, the first step for the viewers is to get a Disney Plus subscription. Users have the following three options to choose from:
- A basic plan that costs $7.99 per month.
- A premium plan that costs $10.99 per month.
- A yearly premium plan that costs $109.99
The subscribers then have to open the app on cellphone or computer. After clicking on the sign-up button, they will have to enter their phone number or email ID and a password. After logging in, the subscribers will be redirected to the platform containing various television series and movies. All they have to do is select the documentary, African Cats, and start streaming it.
