The reason for the 2025 and 2026 release dates is that production has not yet started due to the film not being greenlit. Moreover, development and production plans have been paused thanks to the current Hollywood climate and the ongoing strikes by the Writer’s Guild of America and SAG AFTRA. Once the strikes end and the production is given the green light, the pre-production, filming, and post-production process would likely all take place over a period of 20 months.
