Is there a The Sandman Season 2 release date?

The Sandman Season 2’s release date could arrive in 2025.

Netflix took its time to renew The Sandman for a second season. But it finally happened in November 2022. According to What’s On Netflix, production on season 2, which is currently called “More Episodes and Stories,” began in June 2023 and came to a halt in July 2023 due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

So, with a lot of the filming yet to be conducted and no report on when the strikes will be lifted at the moment of writing, it will be a while before The Sandman’s “More Episodes and Stories” arrive on Netflix. Considering that the series heavily relies on CGI, it’ll also need ample time in its post-production stage after being done with principal photography. Hence, it’s likely that the next batch of its episodes will return sometime in 2025.

This date is an estimation based on the information we have so far. ComingSoon will provide an update to this story once we receive official details.

The upcoming episodes will bring back Tom Sturridge as Dream in the lead. Others are expected to return are Gwendoline Christie, Vivienne Acheampong, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Boyd Holbrook, Mason Alexander Park, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Asim Chaudhry, Razane Jammal, Donna Preston, Jenna Coleman, Vanesu Samunyai, Eddie Karanja, and Patton Oswalt.
