With the launch of the latest sequel, people are curious about the Vacation Friends 3 release date. Vacation Friends 3 does not have an official release date, but it will likely be announced in the future.
Vacation Friends 3 is not confirmed. The sequel released on Hulu on August 25, 2023. So, it is pretty early to talk about a three-quel already. But, since Vacation Friends 2 arrived within Two years after the original, we cannot rule out the possibility of Vacation Friends 3.
Whether writer-director Clay Tarver and the other creatives behind parts 1 & 2 have fresh ideas to take the story further remains to be seen. But when asked about it in a recent YouTube interview with LRM Online, Tarver said: “I’ll try, I’ll try!”
So, there is a possibility of another one, and its chances are pretty high as Vacation Friends is among the few Hulu original movie franchises. Additionally, John Cena’s Ron teases some unfinished business towards the end of Part 2, which makes it clear that the creatives intend to do another film.
Although, it might take a few months to get greenlit as the studio would want to look at the viewership numbers first. Furthermore, it may or may not happen as quickly as Part 2 did. If plans are already in motion, the 3rd film could take three years instead of two, to allow the creatives to come up with another funny story.
While the sequel brought back Lil Rel Howery, John Cena, Yvonne Orji, and Meredith Hagner, Carlos Santos, Ronny Chieng, Jamie Hector, and Steve Buscemi were added as new characters.

“Picking up a few months after the end of “Vacation Friends,” this uproarious sequel finds newly married couple Marcus (Howery) and Emily (Orji) inviting their uninhibited besties Ron (Cena) and Kyla (Hagner), who are also newly married and have a baby, to join them for a vacation when Marcus lands an all-expenses-paid trip to a Caribbean resort. His reason for traveling there in the first place is to meet with the owners of the resort to bid on a construction contract for a hotel they own in Chicago. But when Kyla’s incarcerated father Reese (Buscemi) is released from San Quentin and shows up at the resort unannounced at the worst possible moment, things get out of control, upending Marcus’ best laid plans and turning the vacation friends’ perfect trip into total chaos.”
