According to a recent report from The Cosmic Circus, Doctor Strange’s next outing is under development. It will be based on the Time Runs Out comic, in which the story leads the readers directly into 2015’s Secret Wars event. Also, the film is supposed to provide us with a setup for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, which are arriving on May 1, 2026, and May 7, 2027, respectively.
So, it’s quite likely that Doctor Strange 3 will be given Marvel’s early 2026 slot on February 13. It is the only release window before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty that currently sits vacant. If it isn’t necessary for the film to lead into Avengers 5, then we could expect it to arrive in late 2026 as well. But the possibility of the aforementioned date is much higher.

Doctor Strange 3’s cast and what it could be about
According to The Cosmic Circus’ report, Stephen Strange has been summoned by The Black Priests after the Incursion he caused. Clea is said to be a part of this group, and she has taken Strange to The Black Priests’ HQ to save the Multiverse. So, it’s confirmed that both Benedict Cumberbatch and Charlize Theron will return in the next movie.
Since it is supposed to be another multiversal movie leading us into The Kang Dynasty, we can expect some known faces to return. Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, and even Jonathan Majors might be back. It’ll be interesting to see which new actors get added to the roster of The Black Priests.
