Rap Sh!t Season 2 Delay: Why Is It Delayed & When Is It Coming Out on Max?

Much to the Rap Sh!t fans’ dismay, season 2 of the popular series will come with a significant delay and won’t be available on August 10 as initially planned. Why has it been delayed on Max? And when is it coming out now? Here’s what you need to know.

Why has Rap Sh!t season 2 been delayed?

Rap Sh!t season 2 has been delayed due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

The sophomore season of Rap Sh!t is just the latest casualty in the ongoing clash between Hollywood actors/writers and producers that is heavily impacting the industry. The rescheduling of the new season premiere to November reflects Warner Bros. Discovery‘s optimism that the disputes might be settled by then and talents be able to promote the project. It’s also likely the change might bridge a gap in Max’s schedule at year-end.

When does Rap Sh!t season 2 come out?

Rap Sh!t season 2 is coming out on Thursday, November 9.

Fans will have to be patient for longer than expected, but Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion) will return for new adventures in November. The streamer will release two episodes immediately, followed by one episode weekly through the season finale on Thursday, December 21. Season 2 will also see the return of Jonica Booth as Chastity, RJ Cyler as Lamont, and Daniel Augustin as Maurice, among others.

Is Rap Sh!t season 2 still on Max?

Yes, Rap Sh!t season 2 will premiere on Max.

The Issa Rae-created series is a Max original, so there is no other way to watch it save subscribing to the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned streamer. The first season of the show is also available on Max. There is no information about Max giving up the Rap Sh!t rights to another streamer.
