The Duffer Bros. began writing it in August 2022. It is supposed to be under production from June 2023 to June 2024. So, following a lengthy production schedule, we expect the post-production VFX work to also take another 8-12 months. Hence, Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 could arrive in early-mid 2025.
The Duffer Bros also tweeted: “Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then — over and out. #wgastrong.”
